Mission for Tribes and Nations is a powerful ministry saving souls and changing lives in both Nepal and India. Our mission is to reach the unreached and make Jesus famous.

Our Membership and Impact: Mission for Tribes and Nations has planted 137 Smyrna Churches across Nepal and India, including among the Badi, Chepang, and Musahar tribes. We have over 27,000 members. We currently sponsor 35 missionaries. We have distributed 40,000 Bibles. Through our churches, media, music concerts, crusades, door-to-door evangelism, and missionaries, we have reached over 1,000,000 people!

The Challenge of Different Languages and Missionaries: The modern countries of Nepal and India emerged out of hundreds of ancient tribes and languages. Nepal is home to over 100 languages, including Tibeto-Burman dialects. India is perhaps the most linguistically diverse country in the world; India is home to hundreds of different tribal languages. All of this means that each tribe requires their own missionary who can speak the local dialect. In 2008, Pastor Ruben Basnet founded our ministry with a vision to reach every tribe and to plant churches where people can worship in their own local languages.
